Fairy House Build Session

We lost a few of our builders in this picture to iCarly playing in the next room, but we have good foundations started. We will hide our fairy houses throughout the gardens so the fairies have somewhere to sleep

Seedlings first home. Welcome to the world babies!!

We started seedlings

We are celebrating 2021 Vernal Equinox by starting seedlings this week. We started marigolds, kale, a few slow germinating tomato varieties, cilantro and in the heated closet behind the seedlings we have our first try at micro greens. All above ground crops are started after new moon, we will start some root veggies like beets and turnips after the full moon, per farmers almanac ancestral wisdom.

Wholehearted grow process

We have researched best seedling medium and are using organic seedling starter soil and amending with worm castings. Our seeds are carefully chosen from Annie’s Heirloom seeds and Johnny select seeds in Maine. We look for GMO free varieties that are mostly native to our area of Northern MA.
