Flour for home made breads from Local grain mill

We love home made bread and bake often. In our efforts to support local, like minded businesses we found Ground Up Mills in Hadley MA. We have used their milled grain products and have been very happy with their quality product as well as loving their story. Click here for more details about Andrea and Christian at Ground Up and their sustainable production methods.

Heirloom and organic seeds for garden

We have researched Seed distributors that honor our intentions of wholehearted living, we have found Annie’s to hold high standards. Annie’s is based in Michigan and they have proven to deliver consistently high quality product with high yielding seeds that they boast as heirloom and or organic. We have used them in our gardens for years growing produce that we then save seeds from. Check out Annie’s website here and read about their wholehearted philosophies.

Food for the Girls

We do try to give our girls the best possible foods we can find. Our chickens are free range and have run of the yard. We don’t use any fertilizer or pesticides on our “lawn” (really just weeds including tons of clover) or in our gardens so we feel good about letting them forage away. We do give them Scratch and Peck Feeds for Chickens as a supplement to their diet of foraging wildly. We believe wholeheartedly in their slogan of “You are what your animals eat”. While studying Ayurveda we were taught many times over “you are what you eat, eats” which included animals and plants. We were strongly encouraged to look closely at all aspects of diet, ensuring good nutrition on so many levels, taught natural and sustainable grow methods.
